Our repertoire includes jazz standards from the Great American Song Book along with an eclectic mix of classic and current popular, blues and rock tunes.
We are a fun group consisting of guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, and vocals. We are available as duo, trio, quartet or full band for all types of entertainment events including: country clubs, assisted living facilities, fundraising events, private parties, restaurants, hotels, pubs, night-clubs, cocktail lounges, festivals, and special private occasions, inside or out.
The JOYRIDE band provides a tasteful musical backdrop for cocktails and dinner and perhaps some after dinner dancing as well. Or we can take it up a notch for more lively entertainment to suit your event. Whether you are a restaurant owner, hosting an event or throwing a private party, your guests will enjoy the music!
Gary Willan, percussion

Vanessa Viscomi, vocals
Vanessa is a classically trained vocalist who enjoys singing many genres. Her specialties include jazz standards, big band and selections from the Great American Songbook. Over the past several years, she has collaborated on various music projects with many talented musicians. Vanessa also plays piano, drums and ukulele.
Enrique Casanovas, bass
Enrique has been playing guitar/bass for over 50 years! He started playing after seeing the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show and the rest, as they say, is history.
Enrique has recorded and produced 5 albums of Christian music. As well as playing bass for the JoyRide band, he plays bass for his church’s Sunday worship team. Enrique is recently retired and looking forward to new musical adventures.
Henry Appenzeller, keyboard
Henry began studying piano at age seven, eventually learning electronic and theatre pipe organ. Henry studied under master organist Jerry Mendelson, who also introduced him to the digital keyboard. As a solo artist, Henry has played in numerous theatres, often providing the soundtrack for silent movies! Henry plays in restaurants, for private parties, concerts for organ societies, and is the organist for two local churches.
Paul Elwood, guitar, harmonica & vocals
Paul is an avid guitar player and teacher. Paul’s website is www.paulelwood.com.
He is influenced primarily by his own teacher John LaGreca. Favorite guitar player? The great Joe Pass.

Len Partana, Bass
Leonard Partanna is a Brooklyn-born bassist with an eclectic taste in music and a background to match. He has enjoyed performing everything from hard rock and heavy metal to jazz standards and classical music in a variety of settings. Leonard is also a songwriter who enjoys composing for various musical genres.
Sara Dalen, vocalist
Sara is a graduate of the music program at Raritan Valley Community College. She has a strong passion for music and is a jazz vocalist. She is also versatile instrumental musician who plays guitar, saxophone, and piano. Her favorite genres of music are alternative rock and indie rock but singing jazz is her talent.
Amy Frey, vocalist
Amy is a New York City based actor and singer, recently relocated to Clinton. She has been working professionally in the arts for the past 7 years, and is thrilled to be joining the Joyride band!
